FAQ
About the Process
Q: How do I start the process for a custom piece?
A: Just reach out with your ideas or inspiration photos! From there, we’ll discuss your vision, budget, and timeline to create a design that’s uniquely yours.
Q: What do you need from me to get a quote on a diamond or setting?
A: For a diamond quote, I’ll need the carat size, any specific preferences you have, and your budget. For a setting quote, please share any inspiration photos or design ideas, the ring size, and your budget.
Q: How long does it take to create a custom piece?
A: Typically, custom pieces take 4 to 6 weeks to complete, depending on complexity and availability of materials. I’ll keep you updated every step of the way!
Q: Can I use my own stone in a custom design?
A: It depends! I’m happy to take a look and hear about your ideas.
Q: Do you offer design consultations, and are they free?
A: Yes! Initial consultations are complimentary, whether ivia phone call or virtual, so we can discuss your ideas and get started.
Diamonds & Stones
Q: Are your stones certified?
A: Yes! All diamonds come with an IGI certification to guarantee quality and authenticity.
Q: Do you source natural diamonds?
A: I currently source only lab-grown diamonds, as that is where my passion lies!
Q: Do you provide photos or videos of the stones before purchase?
A: Absolutely! I’ll share detailed photos and videos so you can see your stone up close before making a decision. I will also give you opinion since I am your in-person eyes!!
Q: What diamond shapes and cuts can you source?
A: I can source a wide variety of shapes, including round, princess, cushion, emerald, oval, pear, marquise, and more. Just let me know your preference!
Pricing & Quotes
Q: How long is my quote good for?
A: Your quote remains valid unless there is an increase in stone prices, gold or tariffs.
Q: What factors affect the price of a diamond or setting?
A: Price depends on factors like carat weight, cut, color, clarity, and the complexity of the setting design.
Q: Do you charge any fees to source stones?
A: There’s no fee to view stones initially via 360° video. However, if you’d like me to pull stones in person for inspection, photos, and videos, a $100 sourcing fee applies. Once you select your stone, a 50% deposit is required to begin your custom design.
Shipping & Delivery
Q: How long does it take to process my order once placed?
A: Please allow 2–3 business days for your order to be processed before it ships.
Q: How long is shipping?
A: I ship via UPS 2-Day, so your order should arrive within two business days once it’s shipped.
Q: Do you ship outside the US?
A: Unfortunately, I don’t offer international shipping at this time, but I hope to make it available to clients soon!
Q: Is shipping insured?
A: Yes, all shipments are fully insured for your peace of mind. However, once the package is delivered, I am not liable for lost or stolen items. If this happens, please contact UPS directly to file a claim.
Warranty & Care
Q: Do you provide a warranty?
A: Yes — I provide a one-year warranty from the date you receive your ring. This includes one resize for $50 (may vary), repair or replacement of any side stones, tightening of a loose main stone, and correction of any manufacturing errors on my end. Shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
I also highly recommend insuring your piece through Jewelers Mutual Insurance as soon as you receive it. They cover almost anything that could happen to your jewelry, and they’re who I personally use!
Q: What’s the best way to care for my jewelry?
A: To keep your piece shining, avoid harsh chemicals, remove jewelry during physical activities, and clean gently with mild soap and a soft brush.
Payment & Policies
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: I accept major credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, Google Pay, and Shop Pay.
Q: Do you offer financing or payment plans?
A: At this time, I don’t offer financing, but I’m happy to discuss flexible payment options for custom orders.
Q: What is your return or exchange policy?
A: Due to the custom nature of my work, returns are not accepted.
